INFORMATION MISS ESTRUCH BIOLOGY COLLECTS

When you book a tuition service with Miss Estruch the following is collected:

Your name and contact information, including email address and telephone number.

Your age, A-levels you are taking and the exam board you are sitting for A-level Biology.

Your current grades and aspiration grades.

Information about how you use our website, IT, communication and other systems.  Including Google analytics.

Information from accounts you link to us, eg Instagram

Location data, if you choose to provide this.

Video pictures of your participation in online lessons.

Your billing information, transaction, and payment card information

Your contact history, purchase history and saved items

 

The above personal information is collected to tailor tuition services to meet your needs and it is collected as it is necessary for a contract, we have with you. If you do not provide personal information asked for, it may delay or prevent us from providing the correct tuition services for your needs.

 

HOW YOUR DATA IS USED

Your personal data will only be used in a lawful way.  All data that is stored will be kept securely and only used for above stated purposes.

 

HOW LONG YOUR DATA IS KEPT

If you have made a payment to us or received a payment from us we are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed.

Once a student is no longer receiving any tuition services, their details will be deleted or anonymised.

Any information we use for marketing purposes will be kept with us for 6 years or until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.

 

SHARING YOUR DATA

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information unless we provide you with advance notice, except as described below. The term “outside parties” does not include website hosting partners, online facilitators such as zoom or other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to abide by our data protection policies.

We share your Personal Information with third parties only relevant to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. For example, when using Crowdcast, PayPal and Stripe as payment services.  These organizations may collect data on our behalf to ensure that you receive the correct revision package required.

 

STORAGE OF PAYMENT DETAILS

Your card details are not stored or shared with any 3rd parties.  All bookings are taken through Crowdcast, PayPal, Stripe or BACS payment.

When you sign up for the Miss Estruch Biology newsletter your name, email address, exam board, year group and whether you are a student, parent or teacher is collected. The purpose of collecting the information is to enable relevant emails to be send to you.  None of these details are shared with any third parties. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the footer of these emails.

 

SHOP:

When you visit the shop, we’ll track:

Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed

Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes

When you make a purchase, we will ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, and credit card/payment details. This information is used for purposes such as:
